We teamed up with Topman to deliver their personal shopping experience over Google+ Hangouts
Google approached us to expand Topman’s Personal Shopping service beyond their flagship London store - allowing shoppers to experience the service from the comfort of their own homes.
Geography is the biggest barrier preventing Topman customers using the in-store Personal Shopping Service.
In collaboration with Google+, we hacked the personal shopping experience - building an online booking system, a dashboard and Google+ Hangout app. Wherever they are in the UK, customers can now book a free, one-to-one hangout with a Topman personal shopper to discuss styles, examine items more closely and put whole bespoke collections together. All of the items can be added to the customer's shopping basket straight from the hangout and bought online.
On 1st October 2014, BBC Radio 1 presenter Nick Grimshaw hosted a live Hangout with TOPMAN’s personal shopping team to launch the service. This saw a huge spike in engagement with Google+ receiving 200,000 new followers as a result.
